Not quite.
Club Blue Note: Rhapsody in Blue almost makes that possible. This is an event that my organization, Alpha Nu Omega Sorority, Inc., is putting on this year to commemorate and pay homage to African American Poets from earlier days. The names that you probably didn’t recognize in the list above are local poets featured in the program.
The purpose: to inspire others to want to express themselves artistically. The event is on March 28, 2009 @ 8:00PM in the Potomac Lounge on Towson University’s campus. It’s expected to bring out about 60 people. Complete with an open mic, Club Blue Note should be the perfect venue for amateur poets as well as people all too familiar with the mic.
